Wine Information

About the wine

This is made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, a high tannin, high acidity and full-bodied grape variety. Thanks to Languedoc's warm climate, and the resulting ripe grapes, this is a deliciously concentrated Cabernet.

About the producer

Gérard Bertrand is a former professional rugby union player who played for the French national team. After he retired, he became one of the most recognisable names in Languedoc winemaking. His viticultural CV is unsurpassed, and he's been pivotal in improving the reputation of the region.

About the region

Cabernet Sauvignon ripens late, so it struggles in many winemaking regions. No problem in the sunny south of France, where the grape ripens to its full-bodied best.
