LA MAISON BLANCHE

Picpoul de Pinet

“I've long been singing the praises of Picpoul, which makes a great claim as the most refreshing wine style in France – and arguably the world. This is a fantastic introduction”

Wine Information

About the wine

Picpoul is known as 'Lip Stinger' in France, due to it's unmistakable crisp and zesty character. This one is made from vineyards that overlook oyster beds. The sea air brings a refreshing nature in the warm climate. Dine like a local and try it with oysters.

About the producer

Costières de Pomérols sits in the heart of Picpoul de Pinet. The winemaker behind this is Liam Steevenson, who was the youngest Master of Wine in the world, graduating at age 27, who began his career in wine as a store manager at our store in Vauxhall.

About the region

Picpoul de Pinet is a coastal region in the Languedoc. It runs alongside the famous Étang de Thau, a large lagoon that brings a valuable cooling influence to the region's growing season. Only Picpoul grapes are permitted here. And the wines are fantastic on a sunny day.
