MAISON BOUACHON

Côtes du Rhône Blanc

“I couldn't feature the red without a Côtes du Rhône Blanc – one of France's most underrated styles. Around 10% of the wines made in the region are white, but what little there is tastes fantastic”

Wine Information

About the wine

This is a blend of Grenache Blanc, Clairette and Viognier. Grenache Blanc brings the full body. Clairette brings complexity and freshness. And the Viognier brings the flavours of stone fruits and honeysuckle. Importantly, the Grenache Blanc is rested on its lees to bring texture and buttery notes. Try it with grilled fish in a creamy sauce.

About the producer

The maison began over 100 years ago, when the family made barrels for other estates to age wines in. Today, they create fantastic wines in several of the Rhône Valley's appellations and have a reputation to match.

About the region

Due to the warm climate in the Southern Rhône, the white wines made here are some of the richest white wines you'll find in France. This is the white wine for red wine drinkers.
