Wine Information
About the wine
Negroamaro is one of the most significant of Italy’s 3000 indigenous grape varieties and its heartland is Puglia – in fact, it can scarcely be found elsewhere. Negroamaro translates to ‘black, bitter’ which reflects its deep, illustrious colour and inviting savoury character.
About the producer
The name A6mani is apt for this unique wine producer – it means ‘six hands’ and represents the three formidable women who run it. These three women are also cousins whose work has been born out of sincere love and respect for the Puglia land and its special wines.
About the region
Salento can be found at the very heel of Italy’s boot. Its bright blue skies, generous hours of sunlight and tempering sea breezes create the perfect conditions for the thick-skinned Negroamaro grape to develop its distinctive structure and complex flavours.
