Cantine Nicosia has a wonderfully rich history of winemaking in Sicily, showcasing traditional wine styles made with an environmentally sustainable ethos. Maria Carella is the head winemaker and a fantastic innovator, having studied enology and viticulture before spending two years at another renowned Italian winery.
About the region
For five generations the Nicosia family has been making wine on the warmer southern slopes of Mount Etna in Sicily. The unique influence of ancient volcanic soils that the vines grow in can be detected in the clarity of the wine.
