Wine Information
About the wine
This Etna Rosso is 80% Nerello Mascalese and 20% Nerello Cappuccio – two indigenous varieties that shine on their mineral-rich native soils. Nerello Mascalese offers clarifying red cherry notes and hints of vanilla and spice while the Nerello Cappuccio offers softness to the wine’s texture as well as herbal notes.
About the producer
Cantine Nicosia are now in their fifth generation. They give back what they take from their land, farming with the most sustainable methods possible. It’s all to ensure they can continue making wine on Etna for generations to come.
About the region
This wine is made on the slopes of Europe’s most active volcano, Mount Etna. The high altitudes temper the climate to give the grapes a luxuriously long growing season while the naturally volcanic soils invite unique mineral notes that you simply can’t find elsewhere.
