About the producer
The rich history of the Romitorio estate dates back to the Etruscans. More recently, in 1984, it was bought by the artist Sandro Chia who recognised the natural beauty of the site. Today, it’s managed by Filippo Chia who prioritises both maintaining traditional practices and sustainability through his work in pursuing organic certification.
About the region
Tuscany’s Montalcino area has a moderate warm climate and a unique landscape of olive groves, dark wooded areas and charming farmland. As a result of this incredible diversity, grapes grown here have remarkable complexity that really expresses the character of the land.
