Wine Information
About the wine
Fiano is a key component of Campania’s fine wine scene, and is recognised for its expressive honeyed, nutty and tropical fruit notes. This wine is completely unoaked to emphasise these natural flavour intricacies. The wine spends just a month on its lees which emboldens its texture and integrates the aromas perfectly.
About the producer
The Mastroberardino family set up Terredorra di Paolo in 1994, though their journey into wine began after the Second World War when Walter Mastroberardino – now head of the operation – began selling his own wines throughout Italy. Their head winemaker today is Lucio Mastroberardino, who in 2006 was nominated as Winemaker of the Year in the white wines category at the International Wine Challenge.
About the region
Campania forms the shin of Italy’s boot. It’s one of Italy’s oldest wine regions, which makes tradition integral to so many winemakers’ values. The area enjoys long dry summers which are balanced by Tyrrhenian Sea air. This fortuitous combination results in wonderfully expressive, yet fresh white wines simply brimming with character.
