‘Alzari’ Soave Classico
“Soave is possibly one of the most famous Italian whites. It reached the peak of its fame in the 80s but this bottle demonstrates that it’s still more than worth a look-in. This bottle is made by a highly respected, boutique producer using traditional Italian methods.”

About the wine
This wine is made purely of Garganega grapes – known for their distinctive floral, nutty and stone-fruit character. 40% of the grapes have been dried to deepen the flavour intensity and the wine is then matured in oak for 10 months. This allows the complex flavours to integrate perfectly whilst rounding its texture for a deliciously smooth sip.
About the producer
The Coffele family winery is at the forefront of Soave’s quality transformation. They champion an ethos of minimal intervention to allow the natural beauty of the region to work in harmony with the grapes and bring the finest expression to your glass. It’s this respect for the land that has earned them multiple awards and an enduring reputation as one of Italy’s best Soave producers.
About the region
The rich basaltic lava in the Soave Classico foothills is mineral-rich and perfect for growing grapes packed with complex flavour. The vines grow on striking hillsides, offering the grapes great exposure to flavour- plumping sunlight while cool nights retain the aromatics and fresh acidity.
